Saloninus, as Caesar, 258-260. Antoninianus (Silver, 21 mm, 4.29 g, 4 h), Rome. LIC COR SAL VALERIANVS N CAES Radiate and draped bust of Saloninus to right, seen from behind. Rev. PIETAS AVGG Jug between lituus, knife and patera on the left and simpulum and aspergillum on the right. Cohen 49. MIR 267i. RIC 26. Lightly toned and with a lovely portrait of the young Caesar. Very light porosity and with a surface crack on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
